COUNTER BURGER

The Counter Burger is, in a word, solid. It’s a safe bet for a quality burger at a good price point. We went here after a long Saturday, hopping from place to place and ending it with a tour of the Stahl house in the Hollywood hills. I actually think it was our first meal of the day, so we were eager to try the place we had heard so much about.

As far as the appearance, they don’t stray too far from the basic diner formula. Think Johnny Rockets or Ruby’s. Lots of white, lots of stainless steel, and a few punches of color. Go here for the quality meat and their diverse assortment of fresh produce; not the ambiance. It’s a great lunchtime or “quick bite” destination as you’re running around town. I ordered a turkey burger bowl, which is basically a salad with a turkey patty on top. Everything was fresh and delicious…great patty (surprisingly juicy for anything turkey), paired with fresh sprouts, pickle chips and buffalo sauce. Maricel got the 1/3lb. burger with Danish blue cheese, caramelized onions and chipotle aioli.
